The new Community Services Training Package CHC08 has been uploaded to the National Training Information Service www.ntis.gov.au
Ther have been some very significant and welcome changes to the aged care, home and community care and disability qualifications.
The medication units in the 02 training package have been combined into one and students must complete a pre-requisite unit HLTAP301A Recognise healthy body systems in a health care context
The Certificate III in Aged Care Work now has a compulsory palliative care unit - CHCPA301B Deliver care services using a palliative approach - and there is an elective mental health unit - CHCMH301A Work effectively in mental health
