Professional Development At Work

Health Skills Australia supports a number of community service and health care providers with in-service and mandatory training, along with up-skilling and professional development. As an employer, you can ensure your staff are always up to date with the latest practice guidelines, essential skills and regulation requirements through continuing education during work hours.

In-service training programs can be customised for your organisation's needs, or you can choose from a range of areas including:

  • Behaviour management
  • Continence
  • Disease management
  • Mandatory training
  • Medication
  • Palliative care
  • Supervision and management

A minimum training session of two hours applies, along with minimum class sizes. We can come to your workplace, or your staff can attend at one of our campuses.

Skill set training programs can also be coordinated and include:

  • Dementia
  • Medication
  • Quality systems

Upon successful completion of a skill set your staff will receive a statement of attainment.  Our educators are all highly qualified industry professionals with the relevant vocational and speciality experience for each of the programs we teach.
