Scholarships

Each year, HSA offers scholarships to assist with the successful completion of the Diploma of Nursing HLT54115. All current and prospective domestic students, (not eligible for a state based subsidy such as the Victorian Training Guarantee) are encouraged to apply.

There are three scholarship categories:

  1. HSA Scholarship - General
  2. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
  3. Remote and Rural

Each category requires applicants to complete an application process, provide referee support and participate in applicant interview process as required. Applications are assessed by the HSA Management committee or its representatives. See the specific details of each scholarship requirements below.

1. HSA scholarship

This scholarship is designed to recognise and assist students financially who possess a deep commitment to the field of nursing, where they know they can make a difference to the lives of others.

The ATSI Scholarship aims to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from lower socio-economic backgrounds and regional, rural and remote areas.

3. Remote and Rural scholarship

This scholarship is designed to support students from remote and rural Australia, who are interested in pursuing a career nursing and may lack the financial support to relocate closer to a HSA campus
